The Founder of WASABI Creation, Tong held a seminar sharing his experiences and insights on doing business in Japan, in particular on the topic of "Japanese Business Culture & Manners". 

Tong shared from his own personal experience overs the years while he has been working in Japan, and doing business with Japanese companies. As he grew up and went through the education system in Singapore, knowing the language didn't seem to have prepared him enough to work in Japan as a fresh graduate. Tong talked about the episodes he had encountered all these years, and cover some of the basics about "Japanese Business Culture & Manner".

PopUp Angels is an online platform that makes it easy to find, rent, and set up short term retail and event spaces in Singapore and Hong Kong.

We provide retailers with two things:

  1. A platform that allows them to find short term retail spaces easily, and

  2. An experienced retail and marketing team that is able to walk them through the whole process of renting and setting up a pop-up store.

For landlords, PopUp Angels provides them with a means of leasing out their vacant spaces to pop-up stores. We are currently working with over 100 landlords in Singapore including mall operators such as Suntec City, Guocoland, Far East, and Cathay.

Companies that are using our platform come from a wide variety of trades and include brands such as Sasa, Chanel, GrabCar, SingPost, and Lotte.

Japan's Energy Risk Control Technology

 

For ASEAN's Environment Sustainability

 

In October 2015, in conjunction with Singapore International Energy Week, "Japan's Energy Risk Control Technology ~ For ASEAN's Environmental Sustainability" was held in Singapore Suntec City Convention. Professor Tadashi Narabayashi of Hokkaido University, Dr Stephane Perrin of IIU Research, Mr Eiji Naka of NEC Asia Pacific, and Dr Liu Xiying of National University of Singapore participated in the seminar as speakers, as they presented their area of experties. 

 

A penal disucssion moderated by Prof Ho Hiang Kwee of Nanyang Technological University was also held to discuss various issues and trends on the topic of Energy Risk Control.

Business networking events
Knowledge Salon International

 

Knowledge Salon is one of the major facilities of Knowledge Capital (http://kc-i.jp/), situated within Grand Front Osaka; a new city re-development project right next to Osaka Station. Thus, Knowledge Salon International will be an event and a project to fulfill the four objectives of Knowledge Capital: "Business Promotion", "Cultural Exchange", "International Collaboration", and "Talent Development" through innovative new value creation. It is the first project in Japan that ties together industries and institutions in various projects and initiatives with the goal to make a difference in today’s Kansai area and open up Kansai as the “Gateway” from the world to Japan and the rest of Asia.

In order to create a Knowledge Capital and Knowledge Salon, that are already to set to achieve their objectives by Spring 2013, a monthly pre-launch event will take place from April 2012 right up to the opening of Knowledge Capital in April 2013 to ensure enough preparation will be done with no stone left unturned. "Knowledge Donors" or speakers are invited to share their knowledge and expertise at the event, with a diverse audience from business people and creators, to students.

Personal Branding~ The Power of Brand YOU 

Peter Sterlacci is known as “Japan’s personal branding pioneer” and is one of 15 Master level Certified Personal Branding Strategists in the world. His company, Believe. Become. Be Your Brand., is introducing a leading global personal branding methodology to companies and universities in Japan and adapting it for the Japanese culture.



Peter's first public seminar was held in Oinai Karasuma, a coworking space in Kyoto, where about 40 participants turned up with much curiosity & interest on what is "personla branding" and how it can be applied on themselves. 

The seminar was a great success not only because of the full attendance, but many participants had give positive feedbacks & sparked up continuously discussion with Peter on the Facebook group.  A follow-up workshop on Personal Branding using Linkedin will be held in the following month.
